Donate In Memory

When we lose someone we love, supporting a cause close to their heart can be a meaningful way to remember them.

Whether your loved one served in the Royal Navy, was from a military family, had a passion for history, or loved our museums, a donation to the National Museum of the Royal Navy can celebrate their life by preserving our collections for future generations. You can choose to make a donation in their honour, or collect donations rather than flowers at a funeral.

If you would like to collect donations at a funeral, you can share our donation page. Anyone who chooses to give in memory of your loved one can select ‘my donation is…in memory of someone’ and share their name with us. If you want the donations to go to a specific area of our work, you can choose this option, or get in touch.

Already Collected Donations?

You can make a transfer to our bank account, by emailing us or calling our team for details. If your funeral directors have taken care of the collection for you, we can work with them to provide all necessary information. Our team are here to support you at this difficult time, so please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

It is because of your donations that we are able to conserve artefacts and historic vessels, telling the story of the people who have made up our Royal Navy, and preserving our history for future generations.
