Helen Jackson

Trustee of the NMRN Board and member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Fundraising Committee. Helen is also a Trustee for HMS Victory Preservation Company.

Helen is a museums professional, heritage consultant, and an experienced charity CEO, trustee and company director. She has led government-funded museums strategy, development and accreditation services to over 300 museums in the South East as CEO of Museums, Libraries and Archives SE, and has championed access and sustainability as a Heritage Lottery Fund policy advisor, CEO of the Campaign for National Parks, and as a Secretary of State appointed National Park Authority member. She is currently vice chair and climate change ambassador at consumer business the Southern Co-operative.

As a social history curator Helen is fascinated by the extraordinary stories, sites and collections associated with the Royal Navy. Helen commented;’ it is a privilege now to support the NMRN board’s work to help more people to discover and engage with this wonderful shared national heritage’
