Join Archaeologist Rosey Thornber as she guides you through the lower decks and hidden areas of HMS Victory, uncovering shipwrights' marks that reveal intriguing secrets about the ship's repairs and history.
Discover the secret language of the shipwright and delve into the story of how the ship was constructed, refitted, and repaired over centuries. These marks serve as a tangible connection between the ongoing conservation efforts and the generations of skilled craftsmen who worked on her before.
Participants must be 16 years or older to take part in this event. Warning: some dark, small and interesting spaces will be explored!
