Crack The Code

"Crack the Code" on HMS Caroline is an exciting event, run over the 17, 24 and 25 of April, that links historical naval communication methods with modern coding practices.
Set aboard the iconic ship, this will form part of the nationwide STEM programme ran by the National Museum of the Royal Navy.
Participants will explore the evolution of naval signals, from Morse code to cryptography, and dive into how coding has transformed the way we communicate today. This immersive experience offers a unique opportunity to connect past and present, as attendees crack codes, decode mysteries, and discover the fascinating intersection of tradition and technology in naval history.
The event will run on the 17, 24 and 25 of April and see guests tour the ship and explore our communication interactives, as well as take part in demo sessions and coding camps (camp requires a booked timeslot) ran by external STEM provider Sentinus NI.
You must have a valid museum ticket in order to book a coding camp.
