    Drill Hall

    As you step onto HMS Caroline, you're met with a one-of-a-kind space that seamlessly blends history with modern elegance. The Drill Hall has a remarkable past, being added in after the First World War when the ship was being used as a training vessel, and today it is a carefully preserved historical gem.

    With soaring ceilings and majestic metal girders, this space is large enough to be transformed for everything from conferences to private dinners.

    Junior Rates Mess

    The Junior Rates Mess boasts an authentic naval ambience, adorned with period furnishings and decor, that transport you to the era when the ship was in active service. 

    A space designed for camaraderie, the Junior Rates Mess was originally a home from home for the sailors that served onboard HMS Caroline. As you step inside, that essence of community and companionship can still be felt, making this a delightful place to host a dinner party in the traditional 'mess style'.

    The Ward Room is the epitome of elegance and prestige onboard HMS Caroline.

HMS Caroline is located at Alexandra Dock, Queens Rd, Belfast in the heart of Titanic Quarter. We are only 2.8 miles away from Belfast City Hall - 10-15 minutes by car. 

We offer free parking on site, including disabled parking.

By public transport: Take the G2 Glider bus from Belfast City Hall to the first Catalyst Inc. stop. Walk through Catalyst car park to reach us at Alexandra Dock.  

By car: Take the car and park in our free car park. We are only five minutes up Queens Road from SSE Arena, or a two minute drive from the Titanic Hotel. 

On foot: HMS Caroline is just a 30 minute walk from the iconic Big Fish in Belfast City Centre. Walk the Maritime Mile and see the Belfast Marina and the Great Light on your way.  

We welcome all guests to our venue spaces and we have tried to make it as safe as possible. However, some of our spaces are historic buildings and ships, and we know that there can be challenges for some guests.

For those who believe they will be limited, please discuss any accessibility requirements with your Event Manager who will be able to advise and we can provide on-site additional support if needed.

Please note, high heels with a diameter smaller than a 2p coin (2.5cm) cannot be worn on board the ship. Heel caps that can be fitted should be purchased in advance

We are able to offer discounted group tickets to one or all of our attractions at Portsmouth and Gosport to be part of your hire. If you'd like to add this option to your booking, then please discuss this with your Event Manager who will be able to help build you a bespoke offer.
